This policy explains what IAN Computers and Appliances collects when you order through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you place an order we ask for your name, mobile number, and email address. A delivery address is not required, because every order is collected in store. We also keep a record of the items you ordered and the branch you chose.
We never collect card or bank details through this website. You pay at the counter when you collect your order, so no payment information passes through this site at all.
Why we collect it
- To prepare your order at the branch you chose.
- To contact you about your order — this is why a mobile number is required.
- To keep a record of the sale for warranty and accounting purposes.
Cookies
This site uses cookies to remember what is in your cart while you browse. They are needed for the shop to work and hold no personal information.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information. It is visible to our staff and stored on our web hosting provider’s servers. Where an item has to be moved between branches for you, the courier handling it will see your name and contact number so the delivery can be matched to your order.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for 3 years, so that we can support warranty claims and meet our accounting obligations.
Your rights

- Have incorrect or outdated information corrected.
- Object to our processing of your information, or withdraw consent, where the law allows.
